Julia Gathoni Njiraini (wa-Njiraini)

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of our beloved mother Julia Gathoni Njiraini (wa-Njiraini) of Juja, Ithuri which occurred at AIC Kijabe mission hospital on 16th August 2019 .

Daughter of the late Ernest Njiraini and Lucia Wangari. Mother of Lucy Wangari, Ernest Njiraini, Elizabeth Wambui Mbugua, Nicholas Ngigi and Patrick Ndung’u. Mother-in-law of James Mbugua Wanjau, Dr. Lilian Wangui and Juliet Wanjiku. Sister of Nicholas Ngigi, the late Elizabeth Wambui, the late George Ndung’u, the late Francis Ng’ang’a, Magdalene Wanjiku, Pius Kariuki, Martin Gathara and the late Philomena Muthoni. Step sister of Teresia Mugane, Elizabeth Wambui, Veronica Wanjiku, Nicholas Ngigi, the late Regina Njeri, Lucy Wagio, Cecilia Nyathira and Peter Mungai.

Sister- in-law of Susan Ngigi, the late Francis Muiruri, the late Mary Ndung’u, Pauline Ng ang’a, Joseph Muchoki, Wambui Kariuki, Gladys Gathara and the late Antony Wainaina. Grandmother of the late Timothy Njiriani, Joan Waithera, Julia Gathoni John Wanjau, Sharon Wanjiru, William Njiriani, James Theuri, Hatma Gathoni, Naima Njambi and Tyrrell Ngigi Njiriani.

Family and friends are meeting at Norwich Union towers, Nairobi and at her home in Juja from 6.00pm.

A fundraising will be held on the 24thAugust 2019 at centurion hotel, High Point, Juja starting 12 noon to offset her medical bill.

Burial details will be announced later.
