Julius Manyange Ombati

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Julius Manyange Ombati on 27th November 2019.

He was son of the late Wilbrodos Ombati Masasati and late Ringina Sabiri Ombati. Son-in-law of the late Sagwe Keoye and the late Hellen Moraa. Husband to Mary Kwamboka Manyange. Father of Dr Damaris Nyaboke, Caroline Sabiri, Moni Manyange, Alloys Anyega and Humphrey Mwabebe. Grandfather to Dr Bosibori, Jayden, Lara-Sabiri and Tyler Manyange. Brother of late Yobesia Osebe, the late Francis Gecheo, the late Augustine Ombati, Anastasia Magoma Odhiambo (Ministry of Devolution and ASALs), Simon Makini, late Innocent Mageka, Kennedy Mogere, late Robert Jomo and Hellen Kwamboka.

Brother-in-law of the late Grace Gecheo, Sorophina Ombati Prof. Marcel Odhiambo (University of Vaal, South Africa), Margaret Moige, Florence Nyabonyi, Margaret Chanya, Evelyne Jomo, Samuel Mogaru, Wilfred Nyamweya among others. Uncle of Goretti Nyariki, Antony, Emmanuel, Nixon, Paul, Eric, Miller, Angela, Luke, Antonio, Linus, Edel, Bernard, Sr Sabiri, Denis, Geoffrey, Eric, Irene, Grace, Hilary, George, Chris, Martin, Jackline, James, Steven, Elizabeth, Ainea, Warren, lsdor, Christopher, Sabiri, Laetitiah, Candy and Judson Nyabuto among others.

Prayers and funeral arrangements will be held at All Saints Cathedral, Kenyatta Avenue (at 5.30pm on 6/12/2019) and at Kisii Mwalimu Hotel (at 2.30pm on 10/12/2019). The final meeting will be on Tuesday, 10/12/2019 at the United Kenya Club, Nairobi.

The requiem mass will be at 7.00 am on 12/12/2019 at St. Paul’s Chapel, University Way.

He will be laid to rest on 13/12/2019 in Kitutu Chache South, Kisii.
