It is with heavy hearts and humble acceptance of God’s will that we, the family of KapTorot, announce the passing on of the family matriarch Kogo Talai Torot (Kop Tanui) of Ainabkoi Settlement Scheme on 24th February 2020 at Mediheal hospital, Eldoret due to a short illness bravely borne.

Daughter of the late Cheptarus Chemwok and the late Sote Cheptarus (Kop Chumba) of Kapkwoni Location, Keiyo South Sub-County, Elgeyo-Marakwet County. Sister of the Late Talai Kiptalam. Talai Taprongoei, the Late Stephen Chumba and the Late Anania Cheptarus of Elgeyo Border scheme. Beloved wife of the late Kiprono Kiplagat. Mother of Mary Rotich (Director TSC), Cllr. Kiplagat Tallam, Jeremiah, Agnes Komen (Kimumu) and Festus Kiprono (Chebisaas Boys). Mother-in-law of the late Charles Rotich, Ezekiel Komen, Veronicah (UoE Sec), Grace and Elizabeth. Auntie of Fred Lagat, Samuel Kiptoo (Ministry of Agr), Selina Kiptoo (TSC Nakuru) among others. Grandmother and Great grandmother of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for the funeral arrangements at her home in Ainabkoi Scheme and on Saturday the 29th February, 2020 at Sirikwa Hotel, Eldoret, from 3.00pm.

The cortege leaves MTRH Funeral Home on Tuesday 3rd March 2020 for a funeral service and burial on Wednesday 4th March 2020 from 10.00 am at her home in Ainabkoi Scheme Plot No. 90 (Kapwaitina), Ainabkoi Sub-county, Uasin Gishu County.
