Leah Njoki Kamau

(1949 – 2022)

We regret to announce the death of Mrs Leah Njoki Kamau of Gichagi-ini village, Kandara Sub-county, Murang’a County.

Daughter to the late David Ngima Kagunda and Philicila Wambui Ngima. She was beloved wife to Mr. Samuel Kamau Mwicuci (Director, Nduti Tea Factory). Sister to the late Rose Wangari Gachau, the late Milton Chege Ngima, the late Macharia, Peter Nduti, John Mwangi, the late Beth Wanjiru Marekia and Magraret Wamucii.

Lovely mother to Mary Wambui Gikura, Lucy Wanjiru, Ester Wairimu Macharia (Kangari Outfitters), Rose Wangari Njoroge, Martha Wangui Kamau (South Africa), Beth Wanjiru Apollo, Recheal Njoki Gatumia and Margaret Wamucii (Dubai).

Mother-in-law to Simon Gikura Kariuki (Toll – Kimbo), Peter Macharia Muchina (Chief Principal, Weithaga Boys), Joseph Njoroge Kurungu (Gichagi-ini Village), Francis Gatumia Wanjohi (Weiteithie) and Apollo (Nairobi). Grandmother to many grandchildren.

For funeral arrangements, the family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Gichagi-ini, Boboti, at Mrs Mary Wambui Gikura home (Toll – Kimbo) and at Mrs Esther Wairimu Macharia home (Githingiri – Thika).

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home – Kabati, Kenol on Friday 22/07/2022 at 8.00am and thereafter burial ceremony will follow at ACC&S Gichagi-ini Church, next to KCC Dairy Cooling Plant. The body will be interred at her husband’s home in Gichagi-ini, Boboti illage.
