Leah Shatikha Mulanda

 (1911 – 2019)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of Koko Leah Shatikha Mulanda.

Wife of the late Daudi Mulanda Shinachi. Daughter to the late Mukonyi Washileka Alwanda and Nyirire Khalangula. Sister of the late Khalivitsi, the late Kataka, the late Muyaka, the late Lumbasi, the late Nechesa, Mukanda, the late Mutoka and the late Barasa. Mother of the late Zakayo Luvisia, Marko Chivusia, the late Hon. Joshua Angatia (Fmr Minister of Health, E.G.H), the late Meshack Temba, Shem Shitokani, the late Hannah Bushuru, William Mulanda, Hellen Barasa and Elizabeth Chilongo.

Mother-in-law of the late Janet, the late Zipporah, Benta, Mary, Concepta, Emily, Beatrice, the late Daina, Racheal, the late Bushuru,: Maria, Dr. Barasa Lusasi and Eng. James Chilongo Lusamamba. Grandmother of 65 grandchildren including Mary, Kennedy, Comm. Shatikha (KNCHR), Timothy (Liquid), Joash, Nicolas, Ruth (HASS PET), Florence, Sarah (KPMG) and Paulo; 139 great-grandchildren and 36 great great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily for prayers at her home.

The cortege leaves Kakamega mortuary on Thursday 14th February 2019 at 12.00noon for service at her home in Shamoni village, Malava.

Burial on Saturday 16th February 2019, from 9.00am
