It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance that we announce the death of Lennox Elijah Obuong that occurred on July 3rd, 2020 in Dallas, Texas USA. Until his death Lennox worked at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas Texas. He previously worked for the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, Nairobi until his retirement in 2009.

Beloved son of the Late Elijah Obuong and the Late Mikal Obuong. He is survived by his beloved and dedicated wife of 43 years Elizabeth Obuong formerly of the Communication Authority of Kenya Waiyaki Way, Nairobi. Loving father of the Late Catherine Akinyi Obuong, Miriam lhekwaba, Ted Obuong, Susan Obuong and Michelle Obuong. Brother of Ruth Hinds, Achieng Obuong, the Late Finner Obuong and the Late Kaunda Obuong. Father in law of Dr. Remigus lhekwaba and Haruna Suleymana. Loving grandfather of Brandon, Kate, Vicky, Aaliyah, Malik and Uche. Uncle of Daniel Ogago, Caroline Obuong, Miriam Brown, Lisa Dujmovich, the Late Tony Obuong and the Late May Obuong. Son in law of the Late Opiyo Alai and mama Leonida Opiyo of Ruma School, Asembo. Brother in law of Janet Obiero, Dishon Odede, the Late Gordon Alai and the Late Beatrice Anyango.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home, Nairobi on Saturday August 8th, burial will take place on Sunday August 9th at his farm Kabuong Village Uyoma near Lieta Primary School.

We will love you for eternity and will miss your gentleness and kindness dearly. May your soul rest peacefully in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. In our hearts, you will reside forever.

    I remember those days in Nairobi, Eastleigh 2nd Avenue 5th St. ….. little boys playing football outside, going to school (Dr. Aggrey Primary School) in our „ Khaki“ uniforms. The many experiences of carefree childhood and adolescence have remained indelible in memory.

    My sincere condolences to the entire family.
