Leonard Alfred Muganda

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of our beloved Leonard Alfred Muganda, formerly of Kenya Ports Authority Mombasa and Director of St. Juliana Academy and ECD Teachers Training College Ukwala.

Husband of Ruth Muganda, father of Beryl, Nasryl and Alvin. Father-in-law of Donna and Benigno. Grandfather of Brandon and Ayden. Son of the late Alfred Omondi Muganda and the late Juliana Omondi Muganda. Son-in-law of the late Obilo Okwach and Mama Teresa, Leonida and Margaret of Kisumu Korando. Grandson of the late paramount chief (Ruoth) Paul Muganda Okwako. Nephew of Thomas, the late Walter (former DC), the late John Odhiambo, the late senior chief John Radido, the late Dismus, Hunder, the late Masilus Okwako, the late Okwako Nyaruath, the late Esther Oreko, the late Mathilida Weya, Hon. Sela Okwako, Christine Abonyo, the late Joan, the late Fridah, and Abrace.

Brother of the late Charles Onyach, Triza Were, Benta Onyango and the late Celine Omolo. Cousin of Fredrick, Albert, Vincent, Patrick, Anthony, Dan, Joyce Siwo, Florence, Rosemary, Ethel, Cecilia, Oscar, John Caster, Julius, Oloo, Patricia, Frank and Clay among others. Uncle of Justice Steve Radido, the late Onyachs’,  Weres’, Onyangos’ and the Omolos’. Brother-in-law of Margaret, Phyllis, Zipporah, Alice, Ben, Josephine, Dan, John Onwuong’a among others.

Family and Friends will meet on Wednesday 27th February 2019 at Railways Club for the final fundraising.

Daily meetings are taking place at Golden Spot on Chaka Road from 5:30pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

There will be a requiem mass on Thursday 28th February 2019 at the Consolata Shrine Catholic Church in Westlands, starting at 10am.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Friday 1st March 2019 and will be flown to Kisumu before proceeding to Ukwala by road.

The funeral service and burial will be at his home in Ukwala, Siaya County on Saturday 2nd March 2019.
