Leonard Ngugi Mungai (ithe wa Mungai)

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing to glory of Leonard Ngugi Mungai (ithe wa Mungai) of Mahinga Ngeca Limuru which occurred in California USA on 09/03/2018 following a long battle with leukemia.

Son of the late John Lawrence Mungai Mubira and the late Kibui Mungai. Step son of Alice Njeri Mungai. Husband of Peninah Njoki Ngugi. Loving dad of Lawrence Mungai, Anne Wambui (USA), Esther Njeri (USA), Peter Njung’e (USA) and Rosemary Mugure (USA). Father in love of Wanjiru Mungai. Grandfather of Lucky Mukami (USA), Felix Ngugi( KU),and Kayleene Njung’e (USA). Brother of late Irene Mugure Matindi, Loise Wangari Muturi, Joyce Mwihaki Gitau, the late Bernard Gitungo Mungai, Bedan Gathogo Mungai and David Ngatha Mungai. Step Brother of Florence Mugure Gakure, Paul Ngugi Mungai and Simon Ndegwa Mungai.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral home on Friday 23rd March2018 at 9am followed by prayers at ACK St. Stephen church Mahinga starting 11am. Thereafter he will be laid to rest at his home Mahinga, Ngeca, Limuru.
