It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of our beloved Lilian Andia Okumu on 27th December 2017 in Mombasa.
Daughter of the Late Maj (Rtd) Joseph Okumu and Matilda Okumu; Mother of Michelle Alakara Mghendi of Kenya Utalii College, sister of Caroline and Dr. Asoka, James and Catherine, Jane and Peter, Judy and Nixon, Maxi, Abu and Beth, Pracky and Johnny, Bernie and Dennis. Aunt of Mariano, Natasha, Ashley, Nicole, Felix, Christian and many others. Niece of the Ouma’s, Wasomi’s and Khaseke’s. Cousin of many.
There will be a fundraising meeting at All Saints Cathedral on 3rd January 2018 from 5.00pm.
The funeral and burial Mass will take place on 6th January 2018 at her parents’ home in Kaludeka village, Musokoto Sub-Location, Busia County.
In God’s hands you rest, in our hearts you live forever.
How comforting it is to know that Jehovah the God of all comfort will eliminate all grief.
2 Corinthians 1:3, 4- Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God.’
He will then provide permanent consolation when ‘all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out,’ (John 5:28, 29)
