It is with sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Lily Wanga Mbati, which occurred on Monday, 22′ August, 2022.

Wife to the late James Amburo Ngoro. Loving daughter of the late Mzee Elkana Mbati and the late Mama Rodah Awinja Mbati of Ekhabakaya Village, East Wanga. Daughter of the late Mama Christine Ayoti Mbati. Daughter-in-law of the late Stephen Ngoro Omwaga and Karen Anyango Ngoro.

Loving mother to Edgar Ochieng’ Akwabi Ouma and Elvira Anyango. Doting grandmother of Devonte Amburo, Keisha Wanga and Keith Amburo. Mother-in-law to Sabina Judy Wekesa. Foster mother to Nancy and foster grandmother to Fadhili.

Loving sister to the late Esther, the late Kelly, Emily, Mary, Grace, Velma, Jim, Beatrice, the late Paul, Peter, Carol, the late Hilda, and Eric. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.

A dear cousin to the Munyanyas of Ekhabakaya Village and the Akwabis of Lubinu. Sister-in-law Damaris Bungu, the late Martha, Julius Ngoro, Benta Ngoro, Fred Ngoro of Rusinga Island.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her home in Ekero – Mumias for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves St. Mary’s Hospital – Mumias on Friday, 2nd September, 2022 at 9.00am for service at Shitoto Girls School. The cortege will then proceed to her home for a night vigil. Burial will be on Saturday, 3rd September, 2022 at her home in Ekero – Mumias,
