Lt Col (Rtd) Samuel Ngure Matu

With the humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing of Lt Col (Rtd) Samuel Ngure Matu, son of the late Josiah Matu Gachoka and Janet Nyaguthii Matu.

He was the son-in-law of Stephen and Waturi Githiari. He was the dear and loving husband of Ruth Wangari Matu and father to the late Andrew Matu, Janet Nyaguthii Matu, George King’ori Matu, Waturi Matu and Peter Gachoka Matu.

He was grandfather to Elvis Njenga, Githinji Ndiritu, Michael Gachoka, Natalie Wangari, Samuel Ngure, Grace Wangari, Ngure Ndiritu, and Enock Matu. He was a great-grandfather to Tafari Matu and Trahas Karungari.

He was the brother of the late Bilhah Wanjiru and Francis Arthur Nderitu, Felix Mugo and Loise Matu and Anne Wangui Matu.

Friends and relatives will be meeting at the family residence for prayers daily in Kiamunyi, Nakuru County, from 5.30pm.

The cortege will leave the War Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, 6th August 2022 at 8.30 am for a funeral service at the St. Augustine Catholic Church Kiamunyi at 10.00am.The interment will take place at the family residence in Kiamunyi.
