Lucas Kanyiri
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on to Grace of Lucas Kanyiri on the 29th September 2018 after a short illness and hospitalisation at Coptic Hospital.
Son of the late Virginia Gathoni (Mama John). Brother of the late John Mwambia, Nancy Wanjiku Ndegwa (Switzerland) and Monica Wambui Hitching (UK). Brother-in-law of Godfrey Ndegwa (Switzerland), Mayor Geoffrey Kaarah, Catherine Mwangi and Sean Hitching (UK). Father of Trevous Waruiru.
Uncle of Francis Guchu (France), Jane Wambui, Virginia Gathoni, Nancy Wanjiku Mwambia, Maureen, Jason, Stacey Ndegwa and many others. Cousin and friend of many.
Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Wataalam, Ruiru from 4.00pm.
The cortege leaves KU mortuary on 10th October 2018 at 9.00am for burial at the family farm at Gatong’ora Ruiru.

Uncle, on this day I miss you the most and the pain of your loss is still here with me. On this day, I find myself looking at your pictures, our pictures together, reliving the memories we shared. How I wish I can call you and share my problems with you and you will make them go away. On this day, I find myself questioning why you had to leave so soon. On this, day I am sad and my heart bleeds for you. I cling on hope and trust you are resting well. That you are close by with me. I pray even in death you know how much we love you.
