It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Lucy Ruth Wanjiku Njoroge which occurred at Melchizedek Hospital in Nairobi on 29th June 2020, after courageously battling a long illness.

Beloved wife of Peter Njoroge Waweru, and the daughter of the late Cleophus Kamau and the late Rachel Njango Kamau of Gitaru. Devoted mother to Anthony Waweru, Andrew Kamau, Patricia Wamaitha Njoroge Kangethe, Stella Njango Njoroge, the late James Gitau, and a loving mother-in-law to Teresiah Njeri Waweru, Martha Kanini, Catherine Akinyi and Jack Kangethe Mwangi. Sister to Samuel Njoroge Kamau, the late Hotensia Wanjiru Gathee, Dorothy Wanjiku Njonge, Rosemary Ngendo Ngige, and Juliana Wariara Mwangi. She is survived by her grand-children Stephanie Wayua Kamau,Alvin Mutua Kamau, Peter Njoroge Waweru, Peter Njoroge Kamau, Lucy Wanjiku Kamau, Shaun Alexander Njoroge, Joshua Mwangi Kangethe, and Jeremy Njoroge Kangethe.

Friends and family are meeting daily at the family home in Riruta. Lucy will be laid to rest tomorrow Friday, 10th July 2020 at Langata Cemetery, with the cortege leaving Montezuma and Monalisa Funeral Home on Mbagathi Way at 10.00am.

Romans 14:8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

May Lucy rest in eternal peace.
