Lucy Wanjiru Kamau (Wakamaru)

It is with profound sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Lucy Wanjiru Kamau (Wakamaru), that occurred on 5th August, 2021, at MP Shah Hospital.

Daughter of the late Reuben Kamau King’ang’i and the late Elizabeth Nyokabi. Sister of the late Evans Mbugua, the late James Kamaru and Christine Wanjiku. Loving mother of Inspector David Reuben King’ang’i (NYS Bura Tana), the late Evans Mbugua, the late Ann Nyokabi Gichuhi, James Kamaru, the late Peter Kimani.

Mother-in-love of Susan Kamau, Esther Mbugua, Esther Wangari, Christopher Gichuhi (UN) and Elizabeth Kimani. Grandmother to, George Mbugua, (EI-Chapo), Wanjiru King’ang’i, Noel Doni, Julian Muthike, Reuben Kamau, Lucy Kamau (Wakamaru) Mbugua, Jayden Mwangi, Trina Wanjiru, Craig Kamau, Trisha Gathoni, Trinasha Nyokabi, Brooklyne Ndungu, Jude Kamau, Sydney Wanjiku, Rome Njoroge, Lucy Kimani (Owo), Barrington Kamau, Jasmine Nyokabi. Great-grandmother of David Kamau, Sandra Wanjiku and Pius Mbugua.

Meetings are held daily at her residence in Kawagware 56, opposite St. Francis Catholic Church, every day from 5.00pm to 7.00pm.

The burial will be held on 13th August, 2021, at Lang`ata Cemetery. The cortege leaves MP Shah Hospital at 9:30am, requiem mass at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
