Lydia Ongachi Aswani

The Lumire family wishes to announce the death of Lydia Ongachi Aswani of Kenya Technical Trainers College on 13th May, 2021 at Coptic Hospital – Ngong Road Nairobi.

Lydia was Wife of Eng. Douglas Aswani Lumire (Lamson Engineering Ltd). Mother to Jacinta Mideva Aswani (Light International School) and Ancieta Kavere Aswani (Jonathan Gloag Academy). Daughter of Mr. Charles Liyokho and Mrs. Josephine Muhonja Liyokho of Emusutswi village, Bunyore, Vihiga County.

Sister to Sylvester, Scholastica, Florence, Morris, Oddah, Victorina, Modestar, Chrisantus, Caroline, Regina, Blasio and Martin. Daughter-in-law to the late Peter Lumire Gunyanyi and the late Efarina Mideva Lumire. Sister-in-law to Ebby, Daniel (the late), Getrude, Alfred, Violet, Nebert, Shaloline, George, Nelson, Walter and Linet. Aunt to many.

Family and friends are meeting at Douglas Lumire’s house at Space Apartments (Near T-mall, Nairobi), daily for prayers.

There will be a church service and fundraising on 23rd May 2021 from 2.00pm at pace Apartments Grounds in Nairobi.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home – Nairobi on 28th May, 2021. Burial will take place in Vihiga County, Hakedohi village, West Maragoli Location, on the 29th May, 2021.
