Appreciation

We the family of the late Lydia Wanjiku Gachanja (Wagacheru) express our sincere and deep heartfelt gratitude to all our relatives, in-laws, friends and well-wishers during our period of bereavement. We were greatly touched by your prayers, words of encouragement, visits and generous moral and financial support that enabled us to lay our beloved mother to rest at Muruguru Village Nyeri County on 29th May 2020.

Thank you to all those who called, visited and prayed with us in Nairobi, Muruguru and elsewhere. We were humbled by all our friends, neighbors, professional colleagues, clients and old school mates who sent words of comfort and solidarity to her children, grand and great grandchildren Francis & Susan Mathenge (Karen), Grace & Kiama Gachanja (Nyeri), Charles & Mary Kimathe (C. Kimathi & Co. Advocates) Langata, David & Alice Wanjohi (Membly Ruiru), Railton & Margaret Nyambura Muthungu (Buruburu), Joseph & Senna Nguru (Umoja) and Boniface & Nelly Mbaria (Roysambu)

Many thanks to Doctors and Nurses of Nyeri Outspan Hospital, Nairobi Women Hospital led by Dr. Stephen Kairu and the home based nurses for commendable medical care.

Special thanks to our Priests Fr Anthony Muriithi (Kiarnuiru – St Benedict Parish Nyeri), Fr Patrick Kariuki (Contemplative Evangelizers Karen) & Fr. Peter Gichure (C.U.E.A) for ministering to our mother during the period preceding her demise. A lot of thanks to St Andrews Jumuiya members & Malezi Street residents Court – Civil Servants Estate Langata, Marriage Encounter Fraternity, U.O.N class of 1984, U.O.N Parklands Class of 1998. Since it is not possible to mention by name all our friends and family members who stood with us through this difficult period of laying our Matriarch to rest, please accept this as our acknowledgment of our sincere appreciation.
