Mama Berita (Bertha) Nakhumwa Wachana

We regret to announce the death of Mama Berita (Bertha) Nakhumwa Wachana which occurred on Saturday 27th October 2018 at her home in Kibingei Village, Kimilili.

Daughter of the late Saulo Wefwafwa Malemo and the late Maria Silonyo Wefwafwa. Loving Wife of the late Jackson Wachana Sibona and beloved mother of Sarah Kiliswa, the late Selinah Wamunyokoli, Martin Wachana, Miller Nyukuri, Rose Rweti the late Philip Wachana, the late Peter Wachana, the late Daniel Wachana, Agnes Wafula, Advocate Wycliffe Wachana and the late Alice Situma. Sister of Rasoa Ndombi, Wilson Kafwa, Zipporah Buluma, Mep Wefwafwa, James Wanyama, Jacob Wafula and Murutu Wefwafwa. Sister in law of the late Ezekiel Wangokho. Aunt of Rachael Wangokho, the late Silas Wangokho, the late David Wangokho among others. Mama Berita had 158 Grandchildren, 49 Great Grandchildren and was blessed with 12 Great Great Grandchildren.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily from 5:30 pm at Al-Yusra Restaurant opposite Nation Centre for burial arrangements.

The main fundraising will be held on Tuesday 6th November 2018 at Railways Club from 5pm.

Burial will be on Saturday 10th November 2018 at her home in Kibingei Village.
