Mama Caren Awino Abeka

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mama Caren Awino Abeka.

Wife of the late Zadock Abekah of Osije Village, Kasipul Sub-county, Homa-bay County. Daughter of the late Muma Rapemo and Mama Nyabande Oria of Kakelo Dudi. Sister of the late Mika Oyieko, late Eliud Otieno, Enosh Omiti the late Chief Bita Oyieko, the late Damaris Anditi, Kesia Auko, Margaret Owuocha, Loice Okech, Owande Muma among others. Mother of Evangelist Julia Odoyo, Sylvia Genga, Eng. Elija Abeka formerly of KPA, Eng. Judah Abekah formerly of Nairobi City County Government, Nerisa Ndar of NCPB, Alice Abeka of KIRDI. Step mother of the late Erasto Oyugi, Joshia Omiti, Eld, Jeremiah Abeka of Masawa SDA Church, Late Jeconia Ouma, former ClIr. Nehemiah Ngara, Eld, John Ngara of Buoye SDA Church, Elmada Obuba, Zedekia Ayoo among others.

Mother-in-law of Sarah Abeka, Muhaymina Abeka, the the late Christine Ombewa, Dr.Grace Ochieng, Juliah Opiyo, Jane Adhiambo, Belseba Adoyo, the late Rael Oder, Joyce Abuso, Samuel Odoyo, Enoch Genga, Peter Ndar and Zakayo Okuma. “Nyawana” to the late Zephania Muma, the late Fanuel Odhiambo, the late Ombewa Apiyo and Jaduong Ochieng Opar among others. “Yuor” to the late Ayoo Ogum, Simeon Ngara, Aali Ogum, Patroba Ojwang, Wilson Orwa, Nelson Obuba, “Nyiek” the late Stela Andoke, Mandera, Pilida, Tabitha, Anna, Tereza, Zilpa, Dorka, Doris Omenda, among others.

Grandmother of the Odoyo’s – Winnie, Tubman, Cannon, Faith, Rowland Mubiru, and the late Mercy; the Genga’s – James, Derrick, Paul, John, Jane Omulo and Steve, the Ndar’s – Levi, Shalom and Adrian; the Okumas – Eugene Robert, Stacy, Nicole Molly, Michelle. Grandmother of the Abeka’s – Caroline Shadia, Stafford, Collins, Ibrahim, Reynold, Stephanie; Trevor, Tracy, Allan and Patience Gweth, Tom, Samson, George, Steve, Paul, Francis, Lavenda, Donela, Lumumba, the late Walter, Nicolas , Otieno among others. She is survived by 31 great grand children.

The cortege leaves Matata Nursing Mortuary, Oyugis on Sunday 22/7/2018 at 4:00pm.

The burial will be at her some in Osije Village, Buoye School on Monday 23/7/2018 starting at 10:00am
