It is with profound shock and sorrow that we announce the death of Mama Dorina Atieno Abiero Ongata the Director of EventCode Limited which occurred on Wednesday 22nd December 2021.

Daughter of the late Richard Abiero Kwanya and the late Mama Risper Omenda and Rosabella Akong’o of the Kamwania clan. Loving wife of the late Paul Ongata Ongata and an adoring mother of Wyclife Ongata, Bonny Esther Ongata, Evans Ongata and Margaret Risper Ongata (Yvonne). Mother-in-law to Dr. Marcellar Odero-Ongata, Fredrick Mashuke and Landrine Odero-Ongata. Dotting Grandmother to; Tamara Mashuke, Dylan Paul Ongata, Taraji Mashuke, Ivan Ongata.

Sister to Flora Yamo, John Onura, Damaris Okumu, the late Samuel Olang’o, Lydia Abiero, the late Isaiah Abiero, the Late Appelez Adhiambo, the late George Abiero, Monicah Olaka, the late Elizabeth Aulo, Odhiambo Abiero Kwanya, Teresiah Obondo and Peter Abiero.

Daughter-in-law to the late Ongata Muga and the late Esther Ogwel (Nyobemba). Sister-in-law to Hellen Agira, the late Joseph Obuya, the late Margaret Njeje, the late Remgius Odiyo, the late Philemon Opar, Wilkister Auma, Dinah Okella, the late Leonida Orimba,Susana Olela the late Celestina Ogwoko, the late Peter Ongata, the late Jacob Omollo and the late John Ongata. She was an aunty to many.

The family and committee have been holding meetings at the Ongata Residence in Migosi Kisumu daily from 4pm. Final meeting will be held on 11th January 2022.

Mama is currently at Star Hospital Mortuary — Kisumu and burial is slated for the 14th of January 2022, at Karabondi Sub-Location, K’ongata Home Homabay County.
