Mama Dorcas Wamayi Naicca

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Mum/Kukhu Mama Dorcas Wamayi Naicca of Buriya village, Musanda Location, Mumias West Sub-County in Kakamega County.

Daughter of the late Odero Owang’ and late Mary Nyaluo Asewe of Mayingo village, Uhuyi in Ugunja sub-county. Wife of the late Ibrahim Naicca Muchibi. Cowife of the late Mama Sarah Mbanda Naicca of Rambula in Ugenya. Beloved mother of Nelson Nalianya, the late Job, late Rosemary Manya, Sara Omwaya, Joyce Mbiere, Hellen Okutoyi, Everlyne Nerima, late Judith Maloba, late Beatrice Wambia, Jane Mwenje, Caroline Manya and Everlyne Achieng’. She was adoring Step mother of late Councillor Fredrick Muchibi (Butere-Mumias Municipality), late Manya and Hon. Johnson Manya Naicca (Member of Parliament, Mumias West). Sister of the late Joseph Otieno Odero, late Ochieng’, late Miriam Mauka, late Nerea Maloba and Pauline Osore. Aunty of Ambrose, Francis Amwayi, Nashon Manager, Omondi and Janet Ambani. She has left behind 91 grandchildren, 88 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

The cortege leaves St. Mary’s Hospital Mortuary, Mumias on Thursday 14th October 2021 at 10.00am for a requiem mass at St. Peter’s ACK Buriya, Musanda. Mama Dorcas will be laid to rest on Friday 15th October 2021 at her home in Buriya village, Musanda.
