It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mama Dorina Ayoo Oyugi, that occurred on Tuesday, 16th August, 2022 at Nairobi West Hospital, Nairobi.

Loving wife to the late Mzee Sospeter Oyugi Awala. Daughter to the late Mzee Opondo Atang’a and the late Nyamasi of Sakwa Kamnara, Ndira. Mother to Margaret Ayany, Mary Odeny, James Oyugi, Lydia Ogweno, Judith Adala, Jackline Akinyi, Fred Okore, Hilda Odenyo.

Mother-in-law to Pamela Oyugi, the late Japuonj Ayany Onyango, the late Odeny Odembo, the late James Nyamanga, Moses Adala, Charles Nyaura and George Ochieng’.

Grandmother to Otieno Ayany, Salome Atandi, Sarah,Audi Ayany, Cliff Odeny, Pete, Sam, Obby Oyugi, Finch, Linda Ogweno, Paddy, Bonny, Becky Adala, Stephen,Auma, Sammy and Emmie Ochieng’.

Sister to the late Joan Otwaro and Doris Mbae. Co-wife to Mama Rispa, Mama Monica and Mama Alice Oyugi.

Step-mother to Elijah, Herine Makene, Betty Omolo, Perez Ochwal, Esther Akech, Paul, Lillian, Ruth, Owiti, the late Walter Awala and the late Omondi Oyugi. Step Mother-in-law to Benta Oyugi, Syprose Omondi and Zawadi Odhiambo.

An aunty to Albert, Ogutu Otwaro, Benta Osura, George and Monica Mbae amongst many.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home on Friday, 2nd September, 2022.The funeral service will be done at A.C.K St. Andrews Church, Mbeka.

She will be laid to rest on Saturday, 3rd September, 2022 at her home in Wagusu village, Central Sakwa Location, Bondo, Siaya County.

There will be a major harambee on Thursday, 25th August, 2022 from 5.00pm at All Saints Cathedral, St. Peters Hall to defray hospital expenses and funeral arrangements. The contributions can be sent to Pay-bill Number: 8023949 – Doreen Oyugi Funeral Fund. Account Number: Your Name.
