Mama Emily Wanja Murugu

7Th March 1939 – 15th April 2023

We are celebrating the life of our great Matriarch, Mama Emily Wanja Murugu, who lived well and loved well. Our dearest Mom went to be with the Lord on 15th April, 2023, after a short illness.

She was the daughter of the late Andrew Mwereria and the late Loise Kainda.

She was a loving wife to the late Solomon Kungania Murugu. Loving mother to the late Raymond Mureithi, Kathleen Nkatha, Andrew Kirnathi, the late Alfred Mutwiri, Fredah Kinanu, Edith Kaimuri, Juliette Makandi, the late Robert Gitonga, Janeanne Kagwiria, June Carol Gaceri and Yvonne Fleur Kathambi.

Mother-in-law to Sam Magati, Pst. Hiram Kiragu,Albert Sasu and Sarah Nyokabi.

Doting grandmother to Gwendolyn, Roy, the late Bobby, Marie-Louise, Irene, Jesse, Makena,Virginia, Zoe, Xenia, Penelope, Shaquille, Meikan, Kenan, Keith, Eli and Marianne Star. Beloved great grandmother to Aurora, Mutwiri and Patrick.

She was a cherished daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, grandmother, great-grandmother and adopted mother to many across the world.

Mom loved us so much and was so strong for each of us.We give God thanks in everything and for her beautiful 84 years. We rejoice that morn is united with her maker and all our dear departed. May God rest her beautiful soul in eternal rest, Amen.

Kindly join us for prayers & meetings on the 19th, 20th and 21st of April, 2023 from 5.00pm at her home in Golf Course Phase 2, House no 528, Nairobi.

Meetings and prayers are ongoing at home Naari, Meru every afternoon at 3.00pm.

The funeral service and burial will be held on Friday, 28th April, 2023 at her home Naari, Meru.
