Mama Grace Nasike Wandabwa

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Mama Grace Nasike Wandabwa on 19th June 2019.

Mama Grace was the wife to the Late Canon Benjamin Chenge Wandabwa. Daughter of the Late Yonah Muyelele Kunyu (Omukiyabi Omumang’ula) and the Late Rasoah Nanjala Wanaswa (Omukiyabi Mubikeyo). Sister of the late Miriam Chemao, late Rachael Kasuti, Jennifer Wanjekhele, the late Alice Okwara and the late Samuel Muyelele. Mother of Edward Wandabwa (Rtd. Teacher), the Late Peter Wandabwa, the Late Eric Wanjala, Benson Wandabwa (USA), Josphat Wandabwa (Min. Agriculture Eldoret), the Late Benard, Rosemary Mututa (Bungoma County Referral Hospital), Dr. Catherine Simiyu (Moi University) and Clerah Nekesa (Ireland). She was the mother-in-law of Joyce Wandabwa, Margaret Wandabwa, the late Josephine, Roza Csala, Isabel Sulungai, Benson Mututa and Fred Waswa. She was sister-in-law of Julius, Silas, Crispus, Abiasel, Zedekiah, Hannington and Florence (all deceased), Milka, Janet and Mary. She was a loving grandma of 28 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

The cortege leaves Lifecare Hospital on Thursday 11th July at 10.00am for a Requiem mass at St. Crispins Church Bungoma and then proceed to her home in Butonge.

Mama will be laid to rest on 13th July 2019 at her home in Butonge Sub-location, Bungoma West, Bungoma County.
