It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mama Hellen Monica Atudo Owido, which occurred on Saturday 2nd November, 2019.

Wife of Mzee Eliud Fanuel Owido Ayako of Ong’adi Village, Kajulu, Kisumu County. Daughter of the late Jacob Onyango and Dinah Ogonda of Kano Kolwa. Mother of the late Arthur Donald Okoth (Oulu), Prof. Seth Ochieng’ Owido (Egerton University), Ruth Ong’any, Janet Gwada, Habbakuk Chik, the late Rose Pamela Akinyi, the late Paul Odhiambo, the late Barrack Onyango, Phillip Haggai Ng’uono, Douglas Yuda Hawi and Gad Milton Ochuka (ILRI). Step-mother of the late Booker, Lamech, Ham Saji, Betty, Eunice, Victor, the late Sarah, Polycarp, Kevin, May, Quinter and Peter. Co-wife of the late Damar Aketch and Margaret Aluoch. Blessed grandmother of fifty two (52) and forty (40) great-grandchildren. Sister of the late Mzee Simion Nyaoro and the late Marcelina Oyaro,the late Japheth Mwamu, the late Walter Oruko, the late Mildred Oyange and Tom Tobias Odera.

The cortege leaves Star Hospital Annex Mortuary on Friday 22nd November, 2019 at 9:00am followed by a funeral service at ACK Riwo Church.

Burial will be on Saturday 23rd November, 2019 at her home in Ong’adi Village, Kajulu West Location, Kisumu County.
