It is with grieving hearts and sorrow, but with the humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the sudden death of Mama Maria (Mary) Elizabeth Akelo Omondi of Ongata Rongai which occurred on Saturday 6th June 2020.

Born to the late Silvesta Otieno Weda and the late Maraa Ludwina Aliwa of Ugolwe, Ugenya. Wife of late Raphael Omondi Opuodho of Siranga, Ugenya. Mother of Isaac Weda and Edwina Achieng. Sister of Lucas Ayuko, Ursula Oteng, Anne Weda, the late Simon Otieno Weda and Felistas Apiyo. Sister-in-law of Loisa Ayuko and the late Seraphine Ayuko and Mary Otieno, the late. Aunt of John, Ken, Weda, Emily, Margaret, Erastus, Theresa, Vincent, Awino, Paul, Vincencia, Carro, Dollie, Odhiambo, Emmyjael, Juma, Protus, Marikus, Auma, Vincent and the grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Mater Hospital Mortuary on Thursday 18th June 2020 for burial in Oyani, Sigiria, Migori County on Friday 19th June 2020.
