It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of Mama Miriam Kisoro Moiben that occurred on Saturday 27th May, 2023.

Miriam was the daughter of the late Simatwa Kaprutui and the late Sarah Simatwa. Daughter-in-law to the late Abraham Simotwo Moiben and the late Sarah Tukai Maua.

Wife to Hon. Samuel Kisoro Moiben. Loving mother to the late Evans Kisoro Moiben, the late Amos Ruto Moiben, Christine Kisoro Moiben, Paul Kisoro Moiben, the late Rebecca Cheptoek Tomno, the late Joshua Kisoro Moiben, and Ruth Chebet Moiben. Stepmother to David Kipyego, Tabitha Chemtai, Naomi Cherotich, Daniel Kibet, Dennis Kiprop, Deborah Cheruto, Joseph Kiplang’at, Salome Chepkwemoi, Sarah Tukai, Queen Esther Cheptoek and Faith A. Chelang’at.

Loving mother-in-law to the late Esther Nabangala Ruto, Anthony B. Cheboiywo, Mary John Kipyab Moiben, Yakub Tomno & the late Rosemary Adhiambo Ruto.

Sister to the late Grace Saikwa, the late Samwel Bereso, the late Milka C. Oretu, Kenneth Simatwa, the late Margaret Rotino, Ruth Kinyang, Benjamin Chambai Simatwa, Bramwel Chonde Simatwa, James Tuker Simatwa, Joseph Kibet Simatwa, Daniel Chemorik, Charles Kemei Simatwa, Robert Kaptuin and Chepkwemoi.

Saina, John Simotwo, Eric Kibet, Chematui Olekisa, Ruth Cheptengo, Chemjor Kapseret, Uhuru, Nicholas Kibet, Alfred Ruto, Wycliff Babu, Meshack Simotwo, Grace Cheptengan, the late Barbara, the late Juma Kiberen and Jane Cheptoek.

Doting & loving grandmother to Lydia, the late Allan, Brian, Mrembo, Precious, Charity, Fauzia, Linda, Maureen, Joshua, lan, Lucky, Imo, Prince, Sylvia, Miriam, Clark, Elizabeth, Naomi and Griffin. Great grandmother to Daville and Vivian.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her Grasslands home in Kitale,Trans-Nzoia County starting at 2.00 p.m. for prayers and funeral arrangements.

There will be a fundraiser at her Grasslands home in Kitale,Trans-Nzoia County on Wednesday 7th May 2023 at 1.00 p.m. to help defray medical and funeral expenses.

The cortege will leave Cherangany Nursing Home in Kitale for a requiem mass on 9th June 2023 starting from 11.00 a.m. at ACK St Luke’s Pro Cathedral Church, Kitale followed by a funeral service on 10th June 2023 starting from 9.30 a.m. at Kitale School thereafter internment at her Grasslands home in Kitale, Trans- Nzoia County.
