Mama Prisca Akinyi Otieno (Nyojinga)

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden passing of Mama Prisca Akinyi Otieno (Nyojinga), after a short illness.

Loving wife to the late Elly Otieno Ongojo (Achapa). Mother to the late Beldina Ogutu, Rose Ojwang, Elsa Odira, the late Eunice Omogi, Tom Omogi, George Odhiambo, Dennis Concord, Betty Achapa, Dr Biko Steve, Moses Ochieng, Raphael Okinyi, Isaac Ongojoh, Tephy Achapa and Winnie Olivia.

Daughter of the late Mzee Hezekiah Osodo and the late Mama Deborah Aenda. Daughter in-law to the late Mzee Ongojo Mukula and the late Mama Susana Nyomogi. Sister to the late Patroba Owuato, Esther Achieng, the late Tembo, Henry Ouma and Daniel Ogweno amongst others.

She was sister in-law to the late Osodo Ongojo, Margret Nyasiambi, the late Okeyo, the late Ndege, the late Osembo, Paul, john,Aloo, Joseph and Wagaluka, Obar amongst others. She was co-wife to Margret (Nyamumbo) and step co-wife to the late Kezia, Anna, Karen, Doris, Roseline, Siprine, Faith Osembo, Anna, Margret Okeyo, Rose, Iddah, Amina, Joyce, Nyalego, Nyaringa.

She was mother in-law to the late Daniel Odongo, Dr Joshua Ojwang, The late Dick Odira, Isaiah Omogi, Mary, Keyna, Karen,Teresa, Susan Wambanda and Clifford Otieno.

She left behind grandchildren Oyugi, Odero, Eric, Felix, Synthia, Elisha, Mercy, Desmond, Dr Beryl Ojwang, Dr Audrey Dorsey, Britney, Raynar, Maureen, Letisha, Kezia, Elly, Brian, Cynthia, Daisy, Eunice, Laura, Grace,Anna, Zara, Mikelle, Courtney, Shawn Michael, Elly, Ethan, Lizzie, Elson Biko,Tatiana Rose, Maverick Zelensky, Kaylee Megan, Elvin Ennis,Tendai,Tenaya amongst others.

She is survived by over fifteen great-grandchildren. She was a doting aunt to Eunice Agola, Silpa, Meshack Ogweno, Zolombo Sam, Mboya, Jack, Alphonse, June, Pamela, Okal Ephraim, Janet, Adhiambo, Gem, Eric, Beatrice, Millie, Asha, Mika, Damaris Rangi, Dama Okeyo, Dorine, Jaja, Brian, Kelly, Christabel, Maureen, Judith,Tina, Dorothy, Nancy, Cosmas, Gorbachev, Reagan, Brenda, Susan Nunzia, Babu, and Papa among others.

The cortege leaves Kirindo Mortuary on Thursday 9th March 2023 for her home in Wakula village, Mfangano, Suba Central Sub County, thereafter, the interment will follow on Friday 10th March 2023 at her home in Wakula Village, Mfangano, Suba Central Sub County.
