It is with sadness and with humble acceptance of God’s will, that the Kapten Family announce the death of Mama Rebecca Ndunde Kapten of Machakha Village, Bokoli, Bungoma County, on Monday 10/09/18 at Eldoret Hospital. Formerly Presiding Clerk of Women Lugulu Yearly Meeting (Quakers).

Daughter of the late Mzee Samuel lmbuye and the late Mama Maria Khandasi. Wife of the late Benjamin Nalela Kapten.

Step-mother of Margaret Wandabwa, Amb. Jack Tumwa, the late Hon. George Kapten and Florence Khaemba. Mother of Winston Wakoli, Stanley Kapten, Caleb Kapten, Bishop Barnet Kapten, John Kapten, the late Joseph Ngaira, Donald Bulimo Kapten and David Kapten

Mother-in-law of Joseph Wenani Wandabwa, Judith Tumwa, Florence Khayasi Kapten, Battan Mecca Khaemba, Mary Wakoli, Gladys Kituyi, Margaret Kisiangani, Sarah Kapten, Catherine Ngaira, the Late Robester Bulimo and Lilian Kapten. Sister of Rachel Khazenziah Ambeva, Bilhah Shilasala Shiyukah, the Late Enock Kufwafwa Imbuye, the Late Lois Vulechelwa Najimesi, Florah Khayeli Imbuye, the Late Zachariah Odera Imbuye, Leah Khapwoya Musundi, Hyslop Mulamula Imbuye, Sarah Mwayitsi Mutua, Caleb Mukhwana Imbuye and Eliud Musundi lmbuye.

Funeral arrangements are taking place at her home in Machakha Village, Bokoli, Bungoma County.

There will be fundraising events on Tuesday 18/09/18, at 5.00pm at the Railways Club in Nairobi, and at 5.00pm at the Kapten home in Bokoli, Bungoma. Contributions may also be sent through Mpesa No. 0708318528.

The cortege will depart Eldoret mortuary for home on Thursday 20/09/18.

The funeral service and burial will take place on Saturday, 22/09/18, at her home in Machakha Village, Bokoli, Bungoma County.
