Mama Rose Anyango Osero

Mama Rose Anyango Osero rested peacefully on July 14, 2019 at her home in Kubar Village, Obambo Sub location, Alego.

She was preceded in death by her husband Mzee John Osero, son Gerald Okoth Osero and daughter-in-law Rosemary Adhiambo. She is survived by her children Sylvester Omondi, Austin Kosero, Carole Ageng’o, Japuonj Francis Otieno, Albert Kosero, Polycup Osero, Dorothy Oduor, James Wasonga and David Osero; her daughters-in-law Nelly Omondi, Brenda Otucho, Apolyne Adhiambo, Lucy Ochieng’, Roseline Obiero, Sharon Omonyo and Diana Abesiga; sons-in-law Mike Ageng’o and Harold Nyala and her nephews Clement and Pius and nieces Mercy and Zahra.

She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Faith and Jackie Omondi; Terrence, Nicole,Trevor and Nadia Kosero; Vincent, Everlyne and Jemimah Okoth; Emmanuel Ageng’o and Stephanie Musho; John and Rozetta Otieno; Larvine, Lawrence and Tamara Ochieng’, Michael, Donald and Damien Osero; Ronald, Valery, Keitah and Bianca Oduor; Tiffany, Nathan and Nirel Wasonga, Kayla and Nigel Osero and great grandchildren Akinyi Murimi (Poonchie), Noel and Hezron Okoth.

She was the daughter of Mzee Jacob Mugele and Mama Elizabeth Mugele (both deceased) and Mama Clarice Odero from Mahero, Kaugagi, Alego; Daughter-in-law of the late Clement Onyango and Mama Brigitta Awuor of Alego Kubar. Sister to Maurice Mugele, Celestine Onyango, Michael Mugele, Sophia Oloo, Constance Matibe, Oscar Mugele, and Maureen Mugele, George Mugele and James Mugele (both deceased). Sister-in-law to Mzee Joseph Juma and Christina Juma, Mzee Pius Jura and Mama Benedetta Jura and Martin Onyango (all deceased), and Mama Margaret Apondi, Mama Rosa Olendo, Eng. Vitalis Olunga, Mama Jemimah Olunga, Leonard Oloo, the late Dr. Richard Sumba, Paul Matibe, Jotham Mawala, Seline Oduor, Praxedes Otieno, Anne Omondi, Joyce Odalo. Khasungu Owuor.

She was nyawana to Jaduong’ Alfred Adipo and Mama Gladys Adipo (both deceased), the late Paul Otucho and Mama Petronilla Otucho; Johannes Omanyo Bafula and Leonida Omanyo (both deceased); Gilbert and Mama Hellen Ageng’o (both deceased); Jaduong Jared Ochieng and Mama Lorna Achieng; Jaduong Stefan Odoyo and Mama Leah Odoyo ( both deceased); the late Jaduong Joseph and Mama Domtila Obiero; the late Jaduong’ Booker and Mama Margaret Nyala; Jaduong’ Francis Omonyo and Mama Joyce Omonyo, and Jaduong’ John Ruyenzi and Mama Josephine Ruyenzi She was niece to the Mama Anna Othieno and Mama Louisa Agara (both deceased).

Friends and relatives are meeting on 17 and 18 July, 2019 at the All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi from 5.30pm.

A harambee will be held on Tuesday 23 July, 2019 at 5.30pm at the All Saints Cathedral.

The burial will be on Saturday 27 July, 2019 in her home in Kubar Village, Obambo Sublocation, Siaya District.

Mama rests at the feet of Jesus, the most High place. We will miss her dearly but we thank God for her life and are glad for the love and compassion that characterized her life.
