Mama Sarah Kaptich (Obot Chepn’getich)

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing away of Mama Sarah Kaptich (Obot Chepn’getich) on 3rd February, 2023.

She was the loving wife of the late Julius Kaptich.

Daughter of the late Paulo (Chepkerge) Mabwai and the late Sophia Mabwai of Kaborok.

Beloved mother of Mary, David, Anne, Joseph, Jennifer, Stephen, Sinei, and Mercy. Step mother to Florence, Rose and Gilbert.

Sister to Matthew, the late Hellen, the late Eunice, the late Esther, Mary, Daniel, the late Joel, Rebecca and the late Edna.

Daughter-in-law to the late Paul and the late Eunice Cheroigen.

Mother-in- law to the late Elijah, Roseline, the late Joe, Mercy, Julius, Gladys and Dr. Honey. She was a dear aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, sister-in law and fond friend to many.

The cortege will leave Lazarus Funeral Home, Kericho on Monday 13th February 2023 at 3.00pm for an overnight stay at her home in Chepsir. The funeral service will be held at Kaptich Chepsir Academy on Tuesday 14th February, 2023 from 10.00am. Thereafter the burial ceremony will be held at Saoset Farm, Chepsir.
