Mama Sarah Oswago Ogembo

 1936 – 2019

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the demise of Mama Sarah Oswago Ogembo that occurred in Nairobi on Saturday May 12th, 2019, from cancer.

The eldest daughter of the late Mzee Samuel Oyieke and the late Mama Julia Muga Oyieke of Kanyada Katuma-Homa Bay County. Step-daughter of the late Mama Filkister Oyieke and the late Mama Susana Oyieke. Loving wife of Mzee Daniel Ogembo of Kojwach, Ringa. Devoted mother of Erick Onyango, Cephas Otieno, Lorna Onyango, Dr. Jane Achieng, the late John Oluoch, Lillian Akoth, Mary Ogembo-Oyugi, Kenneth Ouma, Ruth Agwanda, Roseline Atieno, Beatrice Adoyo, the late Davis Owuor and Patrick Okoch. Many grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Mother-in-law of Dennis Were Joseph Oyugi, John Agwanda, Mary Onyango, Linet Onyango, Pauline Otieno, Evelyne Oluoch and Monica Ouma. Daughter in-law of the late Joel Ochieng’ and the late Rusalia Ochieng.

Sister of the late Ruth Oyieke, the late Ezekiel Oyieke, the late Esther Ayayo, the late Moses Oyieke, Elizabeth Amayo, Diana Opondo, Tom Oyieke, the late Dr. Williarn Oyieke, the late Perez Owuor, Joshua Oyieke, the late Peter Oyieke, Rhoda Orengo, Salome Onyimbo, Joel Oyieke, the late Harlin Oyieke, David Oyieke, Ann Obondo, the late Elkana Oyieke, Samuel Oyieke, Jane Ogango, the late Elijah Oyieke. Sister-in-law of Zakaria Omolo, the late Ezekiel Abuya, Elija Matibe ,Rebeca Orwe, the late Jael Matoke, Prisca Omolo. Norah Abuya, Eunice Matibe, Jonathan Odera , Elly Ogweyo, Joseph Ogado, Ben Okeyo, Joan Akinyi, Ochieng and Ruth Abongo.Aunty of Dennis Abuya, John Orwa, Samuel Ayayo, Samuel Amayo, Samuel Oswago, Dorothy Akinyi and many other nieces and nephews.

Fund raising will be at Central SDA (Maxwell) on Tuesday 28th May, 2019 at 5.00pm.

Church service will be at Central SDA (Maxwell) on Wednesday 29th May 2019 at 2.00pm.

The Cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Thursday May 30th for Ringa-Kojwach.

Burial will be on Friday, May 3Ist 2019.

Eternal rest grant unto her O’ Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. Amen!
