Mama Teresa Auma Odoke (Nya Oundo)

It is with great sadness but acceptance of God’s will that the family of the late Odoke Nakhalomo, announce the untimely death and celebrate the life of Mama Teresa Auma Odoke (Nya Oundo) that occurred on the morning of Saturday, June 20th, 2020 at Siaya Medical, Siaya.

She was daughter to Jenipher Nabwire Oundo and Oundo Mukhula of Mundika village, Ageng’a, Samia. She was mother to Wilson Wandera, the late Mugeni, Julius Okochi, Chris Opiyo, the late Sebastian Odongo, Judy Odoke, and the late Caroline Anyango. She was a sister to Joyce Magoba, (Kuucha, Madonde, Khwakhulo. Bwire and On’gamo) all late. Step-mother to Samuel Adure, Rosalia Aoko, Magdalene Awuor, the late Cornel Asike, the late Philomen Ajiambo, the late Akello (Sungu), the late Lucas Onyango (Siaya) and the late James Mugele. Mother-in-law of the late Mathias Omondi, the late John Makokha Magero, Melsa, Alice, Agnes, Mildred, Juliana, Francisca, the late Judy, the late Grace and Concepta. She was an Aunt to Colleta, Odoli, Christine, Baraza, Wafula Kuucha among many others. Grandmother to Henry & Eunice, Janephesa & Robert, Teresa & Ray, Wilfred & Eunice, Austin, Bilha among others. Survived by many grand and great grand children.

The cortege leaves Siaya Referral Mortuary — Siaya on 26th June, 2020 at 9.00am. Nyanya Auma will be laid to rest on 27th June, 2020 at her home in Munani Village, Budalang’i.
