It is with the acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of our mother, Mama Teresa Ongoche Ngala (Mathe).

Wife of the late Hon. Clement Ngala Abok (first post-independence MP of Homa Bay Constituency) of Kochia Location. Co-wife of Elizabeth Ngala and Hellen Ngala. Daughter of the late Justus and the late Eunice Asikolio Angatia of Musitinyi Village, Emutete. Sister of Frank Angatia, Joseph Mumia, the late Belliah Asami and the late Arthur Angatia. She is the mother of Dr Sophia Ngala, Dr. Sella Ouma, the late Joseph Uhuru Ngala, Lucy Oriwo, Prof Jane Oduor, Dr Magdalene Dimba, Christopher Ngala,Angela Ngala and several adopted children, among them, Augustine.

Step-mother of Jacob Ngala, Prof Fred Ngala, Cecilia Ngala, Dr Consolata Ngala, Emmanuel Ngala, Philip Ngala, Dr Michael Ngala, just to name a few. Mother-in-law of Prof Omondi Nyabundi, Philip Owidi, Bishop Oriwo, Eng.Austin Okoda, David Dimba, Betty Ngala, among others. Grandmother of Sally, Emma, Arthur, Ken, Fiona, Acha, Francis, Mumji, Innocent, Audrey, Faith, Ochieng’, Louis, Date, Tony, Eliza, Anto, Maria, Joe, JP, Lucky, Teresa, Clement, Don and Joy.

Great-grandmother of Jasmine and the late Jayda; aunty of Hon. Ayub Savula, Vincent, Anne, Pastor Owich, Eng. Philip and many others. Sister-in-law to the late Rose, Victoria, Jemima, Agnes, Angelina, Clementina, Zachariah Odongo Abok, just to name a few.

There will be a Requiem Mass on Tuesday 23rd March, 2021, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church – Kileleshwa, at 10.00am.

The body is at Lee Funeral Home and will leave for Homa Bay on Friday 26th March, 2021, at 4.00am. Burial will take place the same day in Homa Bay County, Kochia Location, Korayo Sub-location, Kawiya village. Burial arrangements are ongoing.
