Margaret Mbaire Kinyua

Sunrise 5th July 1952 to Sunset 2nd July 2021

It is with great sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely demise of Margaret Mbaire Kinyua which occurred on 2nd July 2021 after a short illness.

She was the beloved wife of Prof. Peterson Kinyua Hinga (KURT), cherished mother to Edwin Kirathe, Joyce Muthoni, Christopher Maina, Monica Wangari and Esther Waruguru. Mother-in-law to Elizabeth Wambui and Peter Maina.

She was a sister to Esther Wairimu, Ruth Muthoni, Late Beatrice Merl, Eunice Wambui, Jeremiah Muturi, James Mungai, Francis Kang’ethe and the late Evans Karegi. She was a sister in law to Mary Gachingiri, late Esther Kahuthu, late Shelmith Nyambura, late Samuel Mwangi, Gladys Mori and Jennifer Waceke.

Grandmother to Lisa Mbaire, Jason Githinii, Dean Kinyua, Jeremy Kinyua, Memphis Karanja and Mark Maathai.

Prayer and funeral arrangements are being held daily at the family’s residence in Thika Landless (Happy Valley) from 4pm.

The cortege leaves MP Shah hospital mortuary on Friday the 9th July 2021 at 6am,followed by a church service at PCEA Baraka Church Kimuchu (Witeithie-Thika) at 9.30am and burial thereafter at their home in Kimuchu (Witeithie —Thika) Varsity Aim Schools.
