It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mrs. Margaret Njoki Gathua.

Daughter of the late Kariuki Migwi Mugo (Mondo) and Grace Mutundu Kariuki. Wife of the late Peter Gathua Mugambi. Mother of Charity Muthoni, Gitonga Gathua, Nancy Mumbi, Nyaguthii Wanjau, the late Nderitu Gathua, Rhoda Wachanga, Simon Muchangi and Grace Wamuyu.

Mother-in-law of Isaiah Mpuria, Lucy Mwihaki Gitonga, Charles Njaramba, Dr. Jackson Wanjau, Martin Wachanga and David Kimathi. Step mother of E. Mwari, Thairora, A. Muchiri, J. Nyambura, M.Thogori, the late Michubu, Karimi and R. Mwonjiru. Sister of the late Mugo Kariuki, the late Wanjohi Kariuki, the late Mugure Ng’ang’a, the late Geoffrey Gachari, the late Jane Wanjiru Thuo, the late Shelmith Nyangendo Wangige, Ephantus Maina Kariuki, Peterson Waiguru, the late Grace Wamuyu Odupoy, Rose Mugure Mwangi, the late George Muiga ,Rosemary Ngima Ndegwa and Alex Nduhiu Kariuki.

Sister-in-law of the late Miriam Muthoni, the late Gikaria Mugambi, the late Festus Kwinga, the late Edward Mureithi, Josephat Kibe, Nyambura Mberia, Joanina Wanjohi, Rev. Solomon Ng’ang’a, Jane Wambui Gachari, the late George Thuo, the late Noah Kirigo Maina, Mrs. Naomi Wangechi Kariuki, Rhesa Odupoy, Mrs Joyce Wamuyu, the late Mwangi, late Eshiban Wangige, Jane Muiga, Prof. Elijah Ndegwa and Anne Wangui Nduhiu.

Grandmother of George, Muriithi, Wanja, Mukami, Gathua Gitonga, Theuri, Migwi, Kabage, Gathua N, Wanjiru, Njoki, Wambui, Wangui, Muriuki, Boniface, Murimi and Gathua. Great grand mother of Muthoni, Wanjiku, Kimathi, Wanja and Ethan.

Family and friends are meeting daily at 5.30pm at their Kiriene village Mikinduri home (Meru County) and at All Cathedral Church, Nairobi.

Burial date will be announced later.
