Margaret Wanguci Kimaru

1904 – 2017

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Margaret Wanguci Kimaru which occurred on 8th October 2017 at The Nairobi Women’s hospital.

Her parents were the late Munuhe and Wanjiku. Wife of the late Livingstone Kimaru. She was a sister of the late Wakaba, the late Wanjiru and the late Chege. Mother of the late Beatrice Wanjiku, John Munuhe, Priscilla Nyaguthii Gaitirira, Penina Mumbi, the late Moses Wahorne, Mary Wanjiru Mucabi, Mercy Wairimu (formerly of Bungoma), Pity Nyacomba, and Dr. Lucy Nyawira Macharia. Mother-in-law of the late Muchina, Wanjiru, Gaitirira, the late Mucabi, and Macharia. Grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother of many.

Friends & family are meeting in her home in Kamatu village, Muthaiga North at Mr. & Mrs. (Dr.) Samuel Macharia’s home, and at Mercy Wairimu’s home in Greenfields estate phase 6 Hse No. 2328. She will be laid to rest on Friday 13th October 2017. The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Mortuary at 7.00 am for funeral and burial service in Kamatu village, Karatina. The service will start at 10 am.
