Margery Nyathogora Kariithi

We announce the death of our dearly loved mother and long-time member of the Women’s Guild at the PCEA Kaigonde Church in Nyeri County — who died at her home in Mung’aria Village, Aguthi Sub Location, Nyeri County, on 2nd May, 2018 at the age of 85.

Wife to the late Timothy Kariithi Wamani. Daughter of the late Ayub Ngahu Ngunyangi and the late Rebecca Wairimu Ngahu. Sister to the late Jonah Ngunyangi Ngahu, the late Zachary Wanjau Ngahu and to George Reuben Wachira of Nairobi, Papius Munene Ngahu of Ol Joro Orok, Joram Muya Ngahu of Nakuru, Nancy Wachu Kaigua of Kiandu, and Amos Ngunjiri Ngahu of Kangaita.

Mother to Prof. Peter Kareithi (USA); Tabitha Gachiengu (USA); Captain Job Kareithi; Irene Kariithi (USA); Maxwell Kareithi; Alex Kareithi; Prof. Nixon Kariithi (SA); Dc Samuel Kareithi; and Dr. Wangechi Wachira. Mother-in-law to Akendo Kareithi, Samuel Gachiengu, Mercy Kareithi, Ann Kareithi, Jane Nyawira Ngunyangi, Emily Kariithi, Dr. Roselyn Kareithi, David Wachira Karite and Winnie Wandia Kiama. Grandmother to 26 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 4 great-grandchildren.

Family members, relatives and friends are meeting daily at the family home in Mung’aria Village starting at 4 pm, and in Nairobi at The All Saints Cathedral from 15th May 2018 starting at 5.30 pm.

The cortege leaves St. Michael’s Funeral Parlour at Mathari Hospital Nyeri at 8.00 am on Monday, 21st May, 2018.

Funeral service shall be held at the PCEA Kaigonde Church at 10 am. Thereafter, she will be buried at her home in Mung’aria Village, Aguthi Location Nyeri County.
