Marion Mukami Mathenge

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Marion Mukami Mathenge, which occurred at Msambweni Referral Hospital on 7th November, 2020, after a prolonged illness.

Wife of Joseph Mathenge Kabukuru of Meli Kubwa, Kwale. Daughter of the late Jonam Mbiga, and Esther Wanjugu. Mother of Esther Gathoni Wario, Elizabeth Nyaguthii Gachara, Daniel Kabukuru Mathenge, John Maina (Mbiga) Mathenge, Francis Mwangi Mathenge, Arthur Kabugu Mathenge, Michael Nyaga Mathenge. Mother in law of Francis Mwangi Wario, Patrick Gachara Kamau, Mercy Wakio, Catherine Kawira, Purity Mwende, Florence Nyanjau, and Mary Njeri. Grandmother of Simon, Hope, Wendy, Serena, Victor, Dennis, Nixon, Eddie Joe, Esther, Gacheri Mukami, Brayden. Great grandmother of King Killian. Sister of Joyce Mumbi, Arther Kabugu, Janet Wanjiku Mwangi, Elizabeth Wambui Maina, Rose Njeri, Winifred Wachera, Mercy Wandia Warui, and Stephen Mwangi Mbiga. Sister-in-law of Mwangi & Julia, Nyaga & Esther, the late Maina & Regina, Mwara & Nancy, Muchoki & Florence, Wairimu & Charles and Wachira & Lillian. Beloved aunt and mentor to many.

Family and friends are meeting at Karatina home for burial arrangements. The body is lying at Jamii Hospital Mortuary, Karatina, Nyeri.

Funeral service will be held on 16th November, 2020 at Kiamwangi PCEA church at 10am Thereafter the interment will be at Joseph Mathenge Kabukuru ome, Kiriti, Cheru village, Kiamwangi location, Mathira, Nyeri.
