Saying goodbye to someone who was so close to us is sincerely heartbreaking. May we all find comfort in the special memories shared with Rampel. My prayer is that the family also finds comfort in knowing that someone so special like “commander” will never be forgotten. A good heart has stopped beating…a great soul has ascended to heaven!!

Rampel, I lack what to say. I thought you were here for much longer, but God had his plans. You have left behind a beautiful family and I pray that they find strength. I am filled with grief, you have left me in stitches. You mentored me, you taught me. You were a great story teller and in your company your friends were never bored. We laughed and cried together. Your acts of generosity is long if stretched. I wish, I knew, I wish… I pray for your family. I will not say goodbye, I say till we meet again. Rest in power.

I am at a loss after hearing the demise of my former colleague and Boss in IRC Lodwar implementing peace build and Advocacy program.
I remember his focused Leadership as he mentored and build relationships with partners, community , beneficiaries and Donor. He had a great sense of humour, my name sake loved nyama choma and benga music. He trusted me as his officer being the manager, gave me a lot of support supervision in all my undertakings , decisions and actions that I made on behalf of the project. We travelled in every part of Turkana ,Pokot and marakwet to seek for peace and conflict resolutions. Martin was a brilliant and intelligent man whose innovative and strategic ideas propelled us to logically conclude the peace project.
A man of big heart and very generous. He travelled all the way from Turkana and IRC staff to attend my Mum’s burial in Nyakach. I will always remember you Rampell, the Commander has fallen. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
