Mary Aoko Koyi Athembo  

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mama Mary Aoko Koyi Athembo that occurred on the 20th January, 2019 at Guru Nanak Hospital.

Daughter of the late William Onyango Amuom and Damaris Onyango of Kogweno Oriang’ Village. Loving wife of Joshua Koyi Athembo and mother of Mildred Akinyi, Vivian Adhiambo, Winnie Anyango, Helyn Atieno, Donwill and Joseph Koyi. Sister of the late Samuel Onyango, John Owino of Kahawa Barracks, Samuel Kiche, Joyce Obilo and Maceline Guravi. Aunty of Maurine, Salome; Damaris, Michael, Newton, James, Priscah, John, Rose, Maxwel, Rogers, Donwill, Jaban, Lilly, Rey, Ken, Felix, Ruth, Belo, William, Gideon, Robert, Jayden, Caroline, Richie, Salma, Precious and Beryl. Sister-in-law and cousin of many.

The cortege leaves Guru Nanak hospital mortuary at 7:00am on Thursday the 21st February, 2019 after mass at the hospital chapel by God’s Everlasting love (Hera Mosiko) and arrive home — Kano; Ombeyi, Kamagaga Village for an overnight stay.

Burial will be on Friday the 22nd February, 2019.
