Mary Nyambura Tonui

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mary Nyambura Tonui, The County Director of Livestock, Department of Agriculture, Nandi County, which occurred on 26thJanuary 2020.

Adored daughter of the late Samuel Wanjohi Muranga and Hollidah Muthoni Wanjohi of Kirinyaga County. Beloved wife of the late Dr Phillip Paul Tonui. Mother of Hollidah Cherotich Tonui [Finland], Zoniah Chelangat Tonui [Advocate], Doreen Chepkemoi Tonui [Advocate] and Amos Cheruiyot Kosgei [Nairobi]. Grandmother of Jason Gituro Wanjohi.

Daughter in-law of the late John Kiptanui Ngeny and Juliana Ngeny of Kaplong, Bomet County. Sister of peter, the late Wilson, Beth, Festus, John, Paul and Dorine. Sister in-law of Joyce, Mary, Betty, Rose, Joseph, Alice, Reginna, Alfred and Eunice.

Family and friends are meeting daily from 5pm for prayers and funeral arrangements at the family residence (Singorwa Village) and a major funds drive will be held on Thursday 30th at the same venue.

The cortege will leave the Samaritan Funeral Home Kapsabet on 31st January 2020 at 2.00 pm.

The Funeral service will be held at the Namgoi High school Grounds on 1st February 2020 from 10.00 am. Thereafter, her body will be laid to rest at her home, Singorwa Village, Kapsabet, Nandi County.
