It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mary Wangechi Kariuki which occurred on 27/6/2018.

Loving wife of the late Ernest Kariuki Njagi (Vasco). Sister of Lydiah Mbura and the late Jackson Kibui. Mother of Margaret Wanjiku, Rtd Chief David Njagi. Peter Theuri, WO1 James Gitei (KDF). Beatrice Wacheke, Lydiah Nyambura, IP John Mwangi (Prisons), Stephen Waruru (DCI), Sgt Charles Kiama (APS), Rahab Muringi and the Late Elizabeth Nyaikamba, Veronicah Waithira and Jane Wambui. Mother in-law of Joyce Njagi, Muthoni Theuri, the late Wachuka Theuri, Wanja Gitei, Wangui Mwangi, Wanja Waruru and Wanjiru Kiama, Karuiru, Ndumia, Charles Mukora, James Njaramba, Wachira and the late Francis Kinyua. Grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Matanya from 3.00 p.m; Ngei Estate Nanyuki Hse No.56 from 6.00 p.m. and Homeland Inn, Thika Road on Wednesday and Thursday from 6.00 p.m. for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital on Saturday 7/7/2018 at 7.30a.m. for funeral service and burial at her home in Matanya near Matanya shopping Centre starting at 10.00 a.m.
