Mary Wanja Gatoi

With acceptance of God’s grace, we announce the death of our Mother Mrs. Mary Wanja Gatoi of Karinga Village, Rwabura location, Gatundu South, Kiambu County, which occurred on the Monday 24th Feb 2020.

Wife of the late James Gatoi Karanja. Daughter of the late Philip Muigai and the late Maritha Wangari. Mother of John Karanja, Gabriel Muigai, Peter Gakuo, Joseph Maina, Philomena Nyambura, Felista Wangari, Raphael Ndugu, Susan Wambui, the late David Njenga and Henry Kihara. Sister of the late Loise Gitau, the late Rahab Wanjiru, the late Lilian Waithi Kiarie, the late Ziporara Nyakairu and Anne Mugure Kamau. Grandmother and great grandmother of many.

Family and friends are meeting at home in Karinga village (3pm), Sagas Hotel Thika Rd (6pm) and at his son’s home in Thome Estate (6pm) for prayers and funeral preparations.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home (Thika Rd) on Friday, March 6th, 2020, at 8:00 am. Funeral mass will be at Karinga Catholic Church at 11:00am followed by the burial at her home in Karinga Village.

God gave and has taken away. Praise be His Name. Amen.
