Mary Wanjiku Wathua

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the promotion to glory of our dear mum, Mary Wanjiku Wathua on 30th November, 2020 after a long illness bravely borne.

Loving wife of the late Hiram Stanley Wathua. Adoring daughter of the late Senior Chief Mwaura wa Nyugi and the late Rhoda Wanjiru. Loving mother of Esther Wangari, Elizabeth Wanjiru Rubia, Willie Wathua and Nancy Wambui Kahara. Foster mother of Esther Wangari and Willie Kimanga. A caring sister of the fate Moffat and Esther Mwangi, Mercy and the late John Gathiongo, Rose and the late Levy Gachanja, Jane Magiri and the late Githinji, Hon Eng Joshua and Leah Toro, Martin and Catherine Maina, Ben and Wanjiku Ngumba. A kind grandmother of Anita, Sonia, Ernest, Alpha-Sarah, Gabriel, Nicole, among many others.

Daily prayers are been held at her home in Kiboko Estate, Thika from 6:30pm.

There will be a Thanksgiving service on Sunday the 6th December, 2020 at her Thika home from 3.00pm.

The cortege leaves Bishop Okoye Funeral Home, on 8th December, 2020 for a funeral service at ACK St Andrews Cathedral in Thika at 10:00am. She will be laid to rest later that afternoon in Ng’othori Viliage, Ng’enda Location, Gatundu District, Kiambu County.
