Mathew Mwai Mugecha

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mathew Mwai Mugecha of Kiandu, Unjiru Sub-location, Tetu Sub-county, Nyeri County, which occurred on 24th February, 2019 at Mathari Consolata Hospital.

Husband of the late Sarah Wangui Mwai. Son of the late Mugecha and the late Wanjiku. Father of Veronicah Thitu (Wamagana), Joseph Gatheru (Ngobit), Regina Wangari (J.M Hospital, Olkalau), the late Ann Wanjiku, Leah Wangechi (Chorong’i), Mary Wachera (Pumwani Maternity Hospital, Nairobi), Paul Mugecha, Alice Waihuini (Ngobit), Lucy Wagaki (Olkalau) and Peter King’ori (Ngobit). Brother of the late Peter King’ori, the late Flora Wangechi, Jacinta Wanjiru and Raphael Thumbi. Father-in-law of Peter Gatheca, Loise Wagaki, Timothy King’ori, Alfred Wambugu, Gathai, Maina and Mumbi. He has left behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at his home in Unjiru- Kiandu village from 3.00pm.

The cortege leaves St. Michael Parlour Mathari on Tuesday 5th March, 2019 at 8.00am and thereafter Holy mass and burial service at 11.00am at his home.
