Milka Waitherero Mugumo

1936 – 2021

It is with a profound sense of loss and the humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of a matriarch, Mama Milka Waitherero Mugumo, which occurred on 19th January, 2021.

Beloved wife of Mr James Mugumo Munyiri. Mother of Githungo and Nyaguthii, Maina and Wangui, Muthoni and Makundi, Margaret Ngima Mugumo, Weru and Wangu, Wandia and Kabeya, Joseph Karangi and Ngotho and Minnie. Sister of the late Kinyua, the late Kimaru, the late Macheru, Wambui, Kabau and Violet Muriithi. Step-sister of Wairimu, Reverend Nderitu, Macharia and Nguyo Mumero.

Friends and family have been meeting for funeral arrangements at her home in Chieni Village, Ruguru Location, Mathira, Nyeri County and in Nairobi.

The cortege will leave Jamii Hospital Mortuary in Karatina on, Friday, January 29th, 2021 at 8.00am, for a funeral service and interment at her home in Chieni Village starting at 10.00am.
