Daughter of the late Lulea Kiminda and the late Magdalene Wangari of Othaya. Daughter-in-law of the late Mwalimu Simeon Gicoru and the late Phoebe Wanja of Kirichu, Nyeri.
Sister of the late Dumenica Muthoni, the late Esther Wambugo, John Thuita, Dennis Kiriungi, Andrew Maina and Peter Muraya.
Sister-in-law of Eshban Gitahi, Dadson Karobia, Nereas Hirst, Charity Muya-Ngaruiya, Murage Gicoru and Glarys Wambui.
Loving mother of Mary Ngugi (Seattle, USA), the late Simon Mwangi, Peter Gachanja (Nyeri County), Mwalimu Thomas Gachanja (Mary Emmaculate, Mwiga) and Patrick Gachanja (Bayer EA).
Mother-in-law of Patrick Njoroge (Seattle, USA), Anne Wambui (Sirma Pry), the late Margaret Nyambura and Josephine Negesa (DCI HQs).
Grandmother of Daniel Njoroge, Annsylvia Wanliru, Michael Gachanja, Isabel Waruguru, John Gachanja, Levi Kamau, Paullete, Irene Wanjiku, Sherlyn Soipan, Lucky Leshan, Rita Njeri. Great-grandmother and Aunty to many.
The cortege leaves Nyeri Funeral Home, Outspan on Friday 22nd August at 9:00 a.m for a funeral service and burial at her home in Kanuna village, Kirichu, Nyeri County.
Family and Friends will be meeting from Monday 18th August to Wednesday 20th August at All Saints Cathedral.
