It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we wish to announce the promotion to glory of Monica Mwarania Ngumba of Timau, Meru County. She was the first born child of the late Wachira wa Gitonga and the late Waturi wa Muita. She was sister of the late Wangechi wa Meja, the late Muhoro Wachira, the late Muita Wachira and Gathoni Wachira.

She was the wife of Charles Ngumba kahihu. Mother to Jedida Njeri Nyika, Susan Muthoni Kiguta, the late Dorcas Wanjira Ngumbao, Ann Wangechi Ngumba, Deborah Wanjiku Ngumba, John Wachira Ngumba, the late Leah Nyaguthii Kamau, Nancy Wairimu Nkuraiyia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Lucy Wangari Ngumba. She was Mother-in-law of David Nyika, Austin Kiguta, the late Ngumbao, the late Kamau Wairi, Lucy Wachira, Frida Wachira, Peter Kamau and Ambassador Peter ole Nkuraiyia.

She was the grandmother of Wachira, Ngumba, Rienye, Zippora, Njeri, Albert, Andrew, Muriithi, Wanjau, Wairi, Peter, Paul, Phillip, Gideon, Kithinji, Keneddy, Monica, Brian, Ngumba Kamau, Resian, Lantei, Kaoku, Sitei and Charles Ngumba. She was great grandmother to Nyika, Njeri, Nyika Rienye, Njoroge, Vicky, Susan, Jackie, Joan, Jeremy,Tatenda, Kariuki, Sasha, Ria, Billy, Spain, Korir, Sharon,Wanjiru and Bonane and Great great grandmother to Ndungu.

The cortege leaves Nanyuki Level 4 Hospital Mortuary tomorrow, Friday 21st February 2020 at 9.00am. She will be laid to rest at her home in Timau from 10.00am.

We thank God Almighty for her life. We loved you our Matriarch. Rest in Peace, till we meet again.
