In submission to God’s perfect will we the family of Faustino M’arithi announce the demise of our matriarch Mrs. Mary Gakiru Arithi on Tuesday 24th November 2020.

Wife of Faustino M’arithi, daughter of the late Miriri and late Jennifer Riara. Loving mother of John Gtonga (Museveni), Joseph Kaburu (KTDA), Julius Muriungi (KTDA), Charity Igoki (GDC), the late Jane Karimi, Ann Kinanu (LVCT Health), James Ikunda (Canada), Eunice Makena (Co-operative Bank) and Stella Kathure (Safaricom PLC). Sister of Eunice Nkanata, Late Joseph Kinyua, Francis Mugambi and Martha Wanja.

Mother in-law of Zipporah, The late Salome, Lucy, Jane, Mary, Raphael, Roisin, Bryson and Patrick Grandmother of Eric, the late Steve, Joe, Kendi, the late twins Carol & Flo, Kimathi, Muriuki, Murithi, Murtmi, Mutuma, Ntinyari, Mutwiri, Mwenda, Makandi, Kinoti, Margarita, Keith, Mutugi, Murugi, Acacia, Wayne, Darryl, Adriel, Ryan, Ewan and Ethan. Great grandmother to Kawira, Gladwell, Maxwell, Sifa, Blessing, Ethan and Malia.

Family and friends will meet from 5pm on Monday 30th Nov, Tuesday 1st Dec and Wednesday 2nd Dec 2020 at St. Paul’s University chapel Nairobi and daily at her home in Nyaagi Village.

There will be requiem Mass on Tuesday 1st Dec at 2pm at St. Paul’s Chapel.

The cortege leaves Consolata Mission Hospital – Nkubu at 9am on Friday 4th Dec for Funeral Mass at Nyaagi Primary school and burial thereafter at her home, Nyaagi Village, Abogeta West, Meru county.
