Appreciation

The family of the Late Mary Wangechi Ndung’u (Mariamu) express our gratitude to the Almighty God for the blessing of her life.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to all those who stood with us immediately after her sudden demise, through to the funeral ceremony and thereafter. You did this through your prayers, kind thoughts, words of encouragement, acts of kindness, physical presence and financial support. Your support in her honour touched and blessed us deeply. We know we couldn’t have done this alone.

We convey our humble appreciation to H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta, H.E Deputy President William Ruto, Speaker of the National Assembly-Hon Justin Muturi, Cabinet Secretaries, Permanent Secretaries, other National Government officials at all levels, Governor Amb. Samuel Wamathai, Governor Dr. Wahome Gakuru, Governor Joshua lrungu, Senator Mutahi Kagwe, Senator Ephraim Maina, several current and former Members of Parliament among other dignitaries for their presence and generous support.

A very special appreciation goes to the Moderator of the General Assembly of The Presbyterian Church of East Africa, Rt. Rev. Julius Mwamba and the Presbyterian Church fraternity, led by St. Andrews Church-Nairobi, PCEA Giakanja Parish, PCEAWandumbi Parish, Kagwathi PCEA Church, Nyari PCEA Church, Evergreen PCEA Church among others.

We are also indebted to the clergy from other churches who walked with us, including but not limited to Bishop David Mureithi of House of Grace and clergy of AIPCA Thika Church. We thank everyone who gave great tributes and condolence messages: your wonderful memories of her and kind words helped lift our spirits. We are grateful to the funeral organizing committees both in Nairobi and Nyeri and all those who worked diligently to ensure that our mum had amazing memorial services and funeral ceremony celebrating her impactful life and legacy.

Since it is not possible to mention every person who played a role, we humbly request that you accept this message as our heartfelt appreciation to each one of you. May the Almighty God justly reward all of you for extending your love to us during our difficult time.
